Law done differently
Our team
Founder, Director, Lawyer
Frith Gibbons - B.Ed. Juris Doctor
Frith has built a reputation for sound, reliable service and advice whilst taking time and care with each client and their circumstances. Prior to establishing her own law firm, Frith worked primarily in litigation, commercial, estates & succession law and family law.
Over the years, Frith’s development in the law, coupled with her personal values and prior professional experience, has resulted in her developing her focus and skills in the areas that Bayside Legal now offers.
Frith believes in handling clients and their matters with professionalism and dignity. These values inform her practice, creating a law firm that aims to provide a safe space for clients from all backgrounds, including those from backgrounds of diversity and disability.
-
In addition to her role at Bayside Legal, Frith sits on several committees including the WA Health Department Advance Care Planning Legal Subject Matter Expert Committee, The Law Society of WA Elder Law and Succession Committee, The Law Reform Commission of WA (Review of the Guardianship and Administration Act Committee) and the Women Lawyers WA Committee as a co-opted committee member. Involvement on these professional committees provides Frith with additional insight, whilst volunteering time and experience for the benefit of the community.
Frith is also a member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners), a global professional organisation of practitioners drawn primarily from the legal and accounting professions. Members of STEP benefit from valuable learning and insight, enriching the service we can offer our clients. This level of continued professional development, accountability and collegiality from both domestic and international professionals, academics and experts assists Frith and Bayside Legal to provide tailored legal advice, support and representation.
-
Outside of work, Frith enjoys a variety of activities including recreational sailing, swimming, tennis, hiking and generally being in nature. She also enjoys travelling, photography, food and culture. Previously, she has competed at Taekwondo tournaments (having won a medal), had a career prior to law in specialist education and enjoyed a creative chapter between professions as a food stylist, having her work published in several magazines.
Law Clerk
Kirsty Sprigg - B.J. Juris Doctor Candidate
As of 2025, Kirsty is in the penultimate year of her Juris Doctor Course (post grad law) at Notre Dame University. Kirsty is a former television journalist and executive producer with more than 20 years of experience. It was while working on the 6pm bulletin for Seven News that she decided to enhance her reporting skills by studying law part time.
It only took one semester for her to realise it was time to leave the media and focus on becoming a lawyer. "I spent years as a producer constantly asking our lawyers for advice on our stories.
-
Eventually I didn't want to do what I was doing anymore, I wanted to do what they were doing. They were so inspiring and supportive and I wanted to push myself to see where the degree would take me. As part of my work in the media, I talked to a lot of people while they were experiencing some of the worst moments of their lives. Telling a person's story can be a powerful thing, but being able to actually give people real solutions and change their lives is much better.
-
Whilst studying law, Kirsty has been involved in a number of programs through Notre Dame University, including the Pro Bono Wills Clinic at Tuart Place in Fremantle, where her journalism and people skills were directly transferrable in assisting her in the valuable work of this Clinic.
